Rapt had the privilege of custom fabricating signage for Gow Langsford Gallery new flagship art gallery in Onehunga.
Set to be New Zealand’s largest private contemporary art space, Gow Langsford’s new premises in Onehunga includes gallery spaces, private viewing rooms, artist studios and a specialist art library. The building, originally commissioned by cosmetics mogul and arts patron Helena Rubinstein, will now become home to the most exciting modern and contemporary art in Aotearoa.
Over a period of 2 months, Rapt worked to the architect’s brief, which required a whole new level of complexity, to create just the look that they were after.
We collaborated with an experienced engineer who lives and breathes stainless steel finishes and blackened steel lettering was created for the main exterior gallery signage as well as the restroom signage and plaques for the sculptures on display outside the gallery.
We loved working with the Gow Langsford team and are extremely proud of this project.
