RV Signwriting
Visionwest’s in-house designer brought a clear vision of what needed to be said. Our role was to amplify that voice ensuring the message could be seen, read, and felt from a distance, even across the complex contours and interruptions of the RV’s surface. Every decision was guided by clarity and empathy, making sure nothing diluted the intent.
On the rear of the vehicle, the message shifts from outreach to invitation, encouraging the wider community to step in and support. As a not-for-profit organisation, Visionwest relies not only on government funding but on the generosity of individuals. This vehicle becomes a moving reminder that addressing homelessness is a shared responsibility, one that calls for collective compassion and action.
The impact has already been tangible. As shared by our client: “It was a profound time seeing and learning how our wonderful kaimahi show up for whānau sleeping rough, and how many of those whānau show up when we show up. We are committed to showing aroha and manaakitanga to our community and will keep working to sharpen our efforts and find new ways to make a difference.”
The creative concept arrived fully realised by the client — a reflection of their deep understanding of their community and purpose. Our task was to honour and faithfully translate that vision into a physical form that could carry its meaning into the world.
Delivering this project required both precision and care. We began with detailed photography and mapping, identifying areas where the wrap could not be applied and providing clear guidance to ensure design integrity wasn’t compromised. Excess silicone around panel joins was carefully refined, always balancing aesthetic improvement with the need to maintain the vehicle’s waterproofing.
At the heart of the design is Visionwest’s koru — a powerful symbol encompassing the breadth of services offered at their West Auckland campus. Having worked with this element of their brand for many years, we understood its significance. Achieving a seamless flow of the koru across the RV’s complex surfaces was critical. It demanded patience, precision, and hours of meticulous alignment — ensuring the final result felt unified, intentional, and true to the story it represents.
